Rowley Country Club set to open on Friday March 21st at 12pm
Golf Course Opening Friday March 21st
After we finally felt what winter was like after many years of mild and non-snowy winters, we are set to open the golf course for the 2025 season on Friday March 21st at 12pm. The recent weather and snow melt has left the golf course wet, as a result, we will be charging off-season green fee rates. Our new fleet of golf carts are arriving on April 1st, so hopefully but then the golf course will be dry enough for cart usage. All of the greens will be open, but we will have a couple of temporary tees as some tree work still needs to be completed. The golf course will be closed on Monday March 24th, so that Zack and his crew can finish up their winter tree work.
The practice putting greens and practice area will be closed as they need a little extra time to recover from the winter; we will get them open as soon as possible. Please be advised that there will be frost delays in the early part of the golf season; the golf course maintenance staff will let us know when the course is playable. There is no set time for a frost delay; the temperature must get to a certain temperature for the frost to go away. During a frost delay the practice area is closed, just like the golf course due to the frost.
For the month of March, the first tee time during on weekdays will be 9am and on the weekends will be 8am.
Thank you for your cooperation and on behalf of the staff at Rowley Country Club we look forward to a fantastic golf season.

Superintendent's Corner
It was a harsh winter on the north shore. Fortunately, we came out of the winter fairly well turf wise. There are a few patches on a few greens that are slow at breaking dormancy. Soil temperatures are still very cold, but with the upcoming warmer weather, soil temperatures will rise, and thin spots will start to fill in. We will also be spiking and seeding any thin areas. There will be some stakes and ropes on green collars where there is, thin turf areas. Please avoid these areas as much as possible, until the areas recover.
