In letting the golf carts back on the golf course for the season, we will be roping off areas to avoid cart traffic as the course is still dormant in many spots and will be adjusting ropes as needed. We will also be opening the practice areas on Tuesday morning. As of right now, there is a holding pattern in the weather that affects the grass coming out of dormancy. We need to remain patient as Mother Nature figures herself out for everything to green up and look beautifully green on the course.
This winter we purchased three new maintenance golf carts and a new greens mower that is an amazing addition to our fleet that will make all golfers happy. This mower has groomers and essentially stands up the grass for a tighter cut, smoother greens and ultimately faster greens. With the groomers set at the right height it also will help control surface thatch. This helps where the health of the greens lies, the soil.
The aerification of the greens will be on Monday May 5th. Please remember to repair your ball marks and any more you find.
